Recruitment & Selection

In order to ensure that the public service is poised to support Trinidad and Tobago in taking advantage of opportunities provided by globalisation, it is critical that it enhance its human resource capacity.

One of the means through which this can be achieved is the recruitment and selection of suitably qualified candidates to fill identified areas of need - the public service must therefore be seen as the ‘employer of choice‘. This must be achieved amidst recruitment challenges associated with the ‘brain drain‘, as well as the trend of talent being typically pulled towards the private sector. Recruitment and Selection therefore represents one of GHRS‘ pillars of operation.

We assist clients in determining their true recruitment needs by helping to assess their organisation‘s current skills complement and skills needs, and identifying resultant skills gaps. GHRS also works with public service clients to devise long-term and short-term recruitment strategies, in order to recruit talent both locally and abroad. This includes online recruitment, recruiting through GHRS‘ international skills database of professionals, and headhunting in higher learning institutions both locally and abroad.
